Boxed Lunch

Boxed Lunch: Sally Bell’s Kitchen from Christophile Konstas on Vimeo.

Last week, Nicole and I premiered “Boxed Lunch” (a short film we made about Sally Bell’s Kitchen in collaboration with the Southern Foodways Alliance) at the SFA 2013 Summer Symposium: Women at Work here in Richmond, VA. It was such a privilege to share the film with the Jones family and our SFA guests. We had two back-to-back screenings in the basement of the  Valentine Richmond History Center  (Sally Bell’s has an outpost cafe in the Valentine courtyard, go check it out!) followed by a Sally Bell’s boxed lunch luncheon and panel discussion with the Jones family (moderated by our very own Nicole Lang).

It was an extra special day because Sally Bell’s and the Jones family were honored with the Tabasco Guardians of The Tradition award.

Martha Jones!

I had such an amazing time meeting and getting to know the amazing people of SFA! It was way too short!

Brought Cosmo along since he was with us from the start, in utero during production and at my side during editing! He took a quick liking to Amy!
